Mu Alpha Omega History

On April 22, 1978, the Mu Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was officially chartered at Henry VIII Restaurant in Midland, Michigan. Sixteen distinguished women who were career-minded and community focused became charter members of the chapter.

Mu Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. became the 69th chapter in the Great Lakes Bay Region. The chapter is dedicated to helping communities in the Great Lakes Bay Region through volunteerism and philanthropy, with emphasis on Midland and Bay County.
