Welcome to Mu Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, based in Midland, Michigan!

 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University, celebrates 118 years of "Service to all Mankind" in 2026.   

 

Since 1978, inspired by the vision of 16 STEM Sisters, Mu Alpha Omega has served Midland and Great Lakes Bay Region at large, fulfilling the Sorority’s motto.  The collective impact has resulted in many collaborations, scholarships and innovative community-based programming 

Our program foci for 2026-2030 is Championing Service, Empowering Sisterhood and Transforming the World. Under the leadership of International President and CEO Charlette Wilson Jacks and Great Lakes Regional Director Jackie Davis Betsari. At the center of this administration's work is the signature program:  AKA Foster the Future:  From Here to Hope.

Mu Alpha Omega is diverse in age, professions, and experiences, but united in our commitment to service and success. At almost 50 years, we've only begun to live up to our "small but mighty" moniker.  Small in number but mighty in accomplishments.
