Welcome to the website of the Mu Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA). 

We are the Midland, MI based chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the 116 year old organization of accomplished professional women.  Since 1978,

Mu Alpha Omega has served the Midland community and the Great Lakes Bay Region at large, fulfilling the Sorority’s motto of reigning supreme in “Service to All Mankind.”

I am honored and delighted to serve as the president of

Mu Alpha Omega from 2024 to 2026.  Locally,

Mu Alpha Omega carries out the International Program, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood, and areas of focus in the community. Under the leadership of  Danette Anthony Reed, the Sorority’s International President and CEO, and Great Lakes Regional Director Gwendolyn L. Kirtley, I am excited about serving in the

six initiatives and areas of focus such as Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP™), Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), Celebrating Local Community Impact & Financial Wellness & Planned Giving.

Mu Alpha Omega is diverse in age, professions, and experiences, but united in our commitment to service and success.
